Mambusao, Capiz, a town where I belong and I am proud. It is one of the major economic centers in the province of Capiz. The soil of Mambusao is fertile and very suitable to most type of agricultural crops thus giving a rich harvest to Mambusaonon. Mambusao is the major rice producer of the province so it is known as the "Rice Granary of Capiz". Because of the bountiful blessings showered in the lands of Mambusao, we decided to give back thus the beginning of INILUSAN FESTIVAL.
This cultural religious festivity was first introduced in 1975 as the year's festival theme. It is celebrated every 25th of November. The term, Inilusan means the mutual and reciprocal giving and sharing of food in the spirit of fraternal goodwill that reflects the generosity of the Mambusaonon. It also means sharing of talents and expertise to one another. The Inilusan is a colorful celebration of Mambuseneo's recollecting stories and depicting historical and cultural growth of the town. Everybody is preparing to make the celebration one of a kind. It is a week-long festivity that includes a lot of activities.
November 18, 2014, Tuesday night there was an event that was one of the highlights of the Inilusan Festival. They called this "Banaag sa Plaza". Many Christmas trees and Christmas lights were lighted. A lot of people witnessed the Banaag sa Plaza. Not only the Mambusaonons but also other people in the province of Capiz joined us in this night. There was also a fireworks display which made the night more colorful.
This November 21, 2014, there was a beauty pageant that was held in Angeles Lema Villareal Center, the Mr. and Ms. Inilusan. I was mesmerized by their beauty and their charm. They showed that the Mambusaonons are truly gifted with beauty and brain.
